Application Process
Applications are accepted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Please visit the ERAS website for a detailed explanation of the process and relevant links.
In addition to applying through ERAS, you must register for the Endocrinology Match. We participate in the Medical Specialties Matching Program within the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The UCSD Endocrinology NRMP program code is 1049143F0.
UC San Diego Endocrinology Fellowship utilizes a single ERAS application and NRMP match process for all fellowship applicants, regardless of intended training track. Applicants interested in the Academic Track may indicate their interest during the interview process if they have already identified this career focus. Fellows may also choose to explore and select a training track after matching and beginning fellowship training.
The UC San Diego Endocrinology Fellowship Program is committed to a fair, transparent, and holistic application review process. Program signaling is considered as one component of our review and may help inform decisions regarding interview invitations. However, signals are evaluated alongside many other factors, including clinical performance, scholarship, leadership, service, personal attributes, and alignment with the mission and values of our program.
To support a thorough and equitable review process, the program may utilize artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted tools as a limited component of application evaluation. These tools are used to help organize and summarize application materials and do not replace independent review by faculty members. All decisions regarding interview invitations, ranking, and selection are made by human reviewers.
Any AI tools used by the program comply with institutional privacy, security, and data protection standards to safeguard applicant information and maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
Select applicants will be invited to interview for a fellowship position. The available dates and details of the interview day will be provided with the invitation.
